Being Thankful

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and I find myself reflecting on all I’m grateful for. This season is always busy, but in the best way. My once-quiet home has come alive again with the return of my children, who are all home for the holiday. When they were younger, I spent so much time doing things for them. Now, I’m simply grateful for time with them, sharing in their lives. I imagine many of you feel the same.

This Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for so many things—some of which, years ago, I wouldn’t have considered blessings at all. I’m grateful to write to you, a task I once put off but now eagerly anticipate. I’ve come to truly enjoy this connection with you and cherish the feedback you share. I’m thankful for the quiet moments I now appreciate, the space to simply be, which wasn’t always easy to find or easy for me to sit in when I had it.

Then, of course, there are the joys I always knew would fill my heart: my family, my friends, this wonderful community, and each of you. I’m endlessly grateful for this business—something that started as a dream and grew into something vibrant and alive. It’s now more than just a business; it’s a creation with a life of its own.
I’m thankful, too, for my incredible team. Each person—artists, craftsmen, graphic designers, those handling operations, finances, and planning—all play such a vital role. They humor my ideas, listen, and, yes, only occasionally roll their eyes! But most importantly, they reach with me beyond what any of us could have imagined was possible in our own. I’m proud to see them dreaming bigger dreams for themselves, to be brave, fearless, and vulnerable in their own pursuits.

Above all, I am grateful for three things I’ve always wanted: passion, purpose, and place. The passion to do what I love deeply, the purpose that assures me I’m on the right path, and the place I call home—not just in the physical sense, but also in the people I cherish and the work that brings me back to myself.
And I wouldn’t be who I am without the three people who are always by my side. I hope they know I will always be standing right beside them, too.

Wishing you all a warm and joyful Thanksgiving.
